The tourism industry has been crying out for a shortage of workers and is hoping to open up the hiring of foreign migrant workers. The Tourism Department of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications sent the "Evaluation Report on the Opening of Foreign Migrant Workers in the Hotel and Tourism Industry" to the Ministry of Labor at the end of October, and it was originally scheduled to convene a meeting of a working group of experts and scholars at the end of November to discuss the issue, but due to the fact that the impact of the Tourism Department's report needs to be supplemented with specific information, the date for the meeting has been delayed again and again. The Minister of Labor, Mr. Hsu Ming-chun, said in an interview today that the two sides will further discuss the date of the meeting only after the Tourism Department's assessment report has been completed.
The Tourism Director of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Mr. Chou Wing-fai, said recently that the two ministries were scheduled to meet in November, but the Ministry of Labor has sent an official letter to the Tourism Administration to supplement more specific information on the difficulties of the middle-aged and old-aged in second jobs, including the difficulties of the middle-aged and old-aged in second jobs in the actual implementation of the information, and the relevant data will be provided to the Ministry of Labor as soon as possible after the data have been drafted.
The government's decision to make the report a success is based on the fact that the government has not been able to provide the necessary information to the Ministry of Labor," said Hsu.
