The festival Neimen Song Jiang, which takes place in Kaohsiung City's Neimen District, is a fighting event that shows some highly fascinating traditional Chinese martial arts talents.
Every year, the Song Jiang Festival lasted several days. The festival's main events are art and military troupe performances, the Masterpiece Banquet, and the Luohanmen Buddha Welcoming. Futhermore, the Neimen Song Jiang Battle, quickly became a tourist attraction, began admitting groups from middle schools, vocational high schools, and universities to compete. This sparked a surge of interest in the Neimen Song Jiang to the younger generation. Festivals and competitions have grown to become Taiwan's greatest folk performing arts group event. The annual event is hosted alternately by Zizhu Neimen Temple, Shunxian Temple, and Nanhai Zizhu Temple.
And about welcoming ceremony of Luohanmen Buddha , Neimen District was once known as Luohanmen. More than two hundred years ago, the first Luohanmen Buddha Welcoming pilgrimage procession took place. The pilgrimage path changes every year because the festival is hosted alternately by three temples.. Along with that, local businesspeople and residents set up incense-burning tables and handed out free food and water.
