A bilingual Indonesian-Mandarin book, collaboratively created by five new immigrants, features vibrant colors and delicate strokes depicting distinctive Indonesian agricultural products rich in cultural significance, taking readers on a journey through the flavors of the archipelago.
As reported by Fokus Taiwan, the book launch event for "Blessings of the Tropical Land - A Journey of Indonesian Agricultural and Typical Products" (熱帶土地的饋贈－印尼農特產之旅) was held at the Yunlin County Department of Culture and Tourism on Sunday, February 1, 2026, featuring traditional dance performances and authentic Indonesian dishes for visitors to enjoy.
In a press release, the department stated that this illustrated book is the latest product of the "Reading and Picture Book Making Club for New Immigrant Families" program, which is entering its eleventh year.
Through images and text, the book invites the public to learn about the richness of Indonesia's land and the diverse culture of the archipelago through a culinary perspective, the department stated. With striking colors and detailed sketches, this book depicts common Indonesian agricultural products that are rich in cultural significance.
