KP2MI Reviews Increasing Opportunities for Migrant Worker Placement in the UAE.

The Deputy Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (Wamen P2MI), Christina Aryani, as reported by Antara News, is currently reviewing the significant placement opportunities for migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is in support of the national target of 500,000 migrant workers by 2026.
Wamen Christina held a virtual meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE, Judha Nugraha, to discuss expanding the placement of Indonesian migrant workers, both in skilled employment schemes and other leading sectors. The President, through the Quick Win program, is targeting 500,000 migrant workers by 2026. The UAE is seen as a country that can contribute to achieving this target and as a potential strategic partner for Indonesian migrant workers in the Middle East. Several sectors targeted for Indonesian migrant workers include manufacturing, engineering, construction, maritime, tourism, hotels, and hospitality.
Judha Nugraha added that the need for Indonesian migrant workers in the UAE by 2026 is expected to reach nearly 6,000. These include 5,000 people in the hospitality sector, 200 in healthcare, 100 in construction, 100 in manufacturing, and 400 in the transportation sector.
