Salute to Workers! Taichung Branch Honors Model Laborers and Outstanding Migrant Workers

On June 18, the Taichung Branch of the Industrial Park Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, held a ceremony at the New World Sogo Store in Beitun District, Taichung, to honor 64 exceptional workers—47 local model employees and 17 outstanding migrant workers—from Taichung Port, Tanzih, and the Taichung Software Park.

Honorees included both frontline and managerial staff. Notable awardees were Ms. Lin Shu-Nü, who has served at Canon Taiwan for 34 years, demonstrating steady leadership; Mr. Chiu Hua-Man, who spent 36 years at Shenglun Machinery solving technical problems and mentoring newcomers; and Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc from Vietnam, who showcased her expertise by passing the ink coating certification.

The bureau emphasized that these workers are the backbone of Taiwan's industrial growth. The ceremony was more than just awards—it was a tribute to their quiet dedication. Moving forward, the bureau will continue to promote its vision of smart, safe, and sustainable workplaces and will hold follow-up ceremonies on April 22 and 24 to further honor grassroots laborers.
